“Will it work with shared WiFi service as in an independent living community, where there isn't a router in the apartment? I purchased a different make and had to return it because it won't work with my Mom's WiFi setup.”

The frame will work with any Wi-Fi or hotspot connection as long as the network is not hidden and doesn't require to sign in since our frame has no capabilities to open or launch a browser.
