Hello Carrie and thank you for your question! Skylight is designed to work best with landscape (horizontal) pictures that have a 16:9 ratio. For any photos that do not fit the 16:9 ratio, including vertical and square photos, Skylight will automatically add borders on the sides to make them fit on the frame. You can rotate and pinch zoom the photos to adjust them to your liking.
