The easy answer is yes. One can log in to the Slingbox as owner and the other as guest. BUT, with only one Slingbox and one cable box, they WILL have to watch the same show. In other words, it's like having one TV in the house that is viewable in two other places.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With a cable signal spliter, 2 sling boxes, 2 set top cable boxes, with one pair sling box and cable box deticated to each of your remotely locate sons; each son could control his own programming preference. If you locate the deticated sets in the same location. You could cover the front bezel (i.e. Remote inferred receiver) of the set top cable box. I used black rubber foam pipe insolation. This prevents the local living rooms crew with a hand held remote control from controlling the boxes which you have setup for your sons in a distant location. The additional ongoing cost to you would possibly be the monthly rental cost of the settop cable boxes. PROBLEM SOLVED WITH 2 SINGBOXES AND 2 SET TOP CABLE BOXES.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, they can both watch the same local show in 2 different states... the BIG problem for you though, is that ONLY ONE of them will be able to watch at a time. Only one device can accept the stream at a time. At least, that is the way that it is for now.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No 2 people can watch at the same time. You would have to purchase another Slingbox and attach it to another setup box in your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only one remote device is allowed at one time. When you try to connect and someone else is on a remote device it asks if you want to override the current viewer. When you do, it turns off the second browser and allows the local browser access. The only way both can be watching simultaneously is if one has the slingbox locally and the other is the remote user.
