• With the M2, there's an initial 15 second when you first open the (free) app on your mobile device, but then it goes away.

• Only when you first connect for the day. At most it's a 30 second commercial. After that there is no more commercials.

• No adds to watch. With the slingbox you are watching just what is on at your house on Dishnetwork.
