Short, clear answer: yes, it will clamp and fit. Here’s why, without the noise: Dryer vents are nominally called “4 inch”, but the actual outside diameter of rigid/periscope vents is usually ~4.8–5.0 inches. Hose clamps are designed to tighten over that larger outside diameter. A “4 inch dryer clamp” typically has an adjustment range of roughly 4.5″–6″.
