can't I use my old power cord it's still good null

The problem is if the dryer has a problem under warranty and when showing sales slip it doesn’t reflect a new cable they might give you a hard time.

I would think that it is just precautionary to replace the cord because of possible wear on the old one.

If you purchase the machine alone. Best Buy requires new parts if you choose them to install it for you.
