“replacing an existing older electric stove with gas.does anything have to be done with the existing electric outlet?in other words will it work with a gas stove.have all the gas lines in place. and do gas ranges need to be vented?”

You need a regular outlet because the electric stove pulls more power & the cables aren’t the same. You definitely need a gas line. The gas range has its own vents, nothing additional for vents needs to be done

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your house already has a gas line ran for the range, you more than likely also have the right electrical outlet. If you only have an electric outlet for an electric range, it’s probably 240v and that outlet will not work for a new gas range. You would need to have a 110v outlet installed. I don’t believe you have to have it vented.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.WE DIDNT HAVE TO VENT OUR GAS STOVE WHEN WE CHANGED FROM ELEC TO GAS. JUST RAN THE LINE AND HOOKED IT UP. DEPENDING ON WHETHER YOU USE LP OR NATURAL GAS YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE THE ORPHESIS THAT COMES WITH THE STOVE WE HAD TO BC WE HAVE LP. THEN WE PUT CAP ENDS ON THE OLD WIRES WHERE THEY WERE NOW SAFE.
