• No, not really. Just within reach of say a 3-ft cord. I have a regular 120 volt outlet in the cabinet below my current electric range top and I too am converting over to gas.

• I just had a range installed and it barely reached my outlet. I would recommend it be within 48” of range or directly behind it.
