Which wire is hot? All same color null

Red and black are hot 120 vac. Does not matter which side goes where. Center is neutral white wire. Make sure grounding bond is also connected to the center terminal.

Left and right middle is common.

220 volts use two hot wires (2×110=220)and a ground. The ground wire usually is in the center.

If you don't know you shouldn't be doing anything with electrical because both hot on those cords remember its 220v means each side is hot 120v x2
