https://www.rexingusa.com/the-rexing-parking-monitor-the-dash-cam-that-records-even-when-your-vehicle-is-off/ It looks like there is a Hardwire Kit that you have to buy separately. The problem that I see with the description of this hardware kit in the link is that it says that it will stop drawing from the battery after it measures 11.6 volts on the battery. This is not good because what you start your car, especially in very cold weather, like below zero, you want your battery to be at least around 12.4 to 12.7 volts. The description says that you can change the limits but does not say anything other than 11.6 volts. So, I would say that you are fine if you have a GOOD CAR BATTERY, but if you have issues with your battery going dead, I would ether buy a new car battery or get a different dash cam.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have issues with the battery, you can always get a solar panel that plugs into your auxiliary port, I used one because my DVD player was bypassed to work without the e-brake being depressed, worked great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hardwiring just keeps you from having to use a plug in the power socket. The camera shuts off when the car shuts off. It doesn't record when the car is off.
