According to TrySnow.com (the Snow Brand direct website), you should follow your normal brushing routine (aka brush your teeth, floss, mouthwash etc) THEN you use the SNOW System as instructed. In other words, these kits do not include toothpaste. Rather, they are a teeth whitening procedure. DISCLOSURE: I have not tried this product- I am just a normal customer doing my due diligence prior to purchase. Hope this helps you out
