No. It comes with durable plastic blades and a plastic scraper bar. This is not a bad thing at all. I used to own a much cheaper brand with the same materials and the design allowed the blades to touch the ground which ground away the blades. This SnoJoe is designed where the scraper blade protects the rotary blade from actually touching ground surface. If you are concerned about cracking the parts, you can order factory replacement parts from the owners manual at a very low cost. I absolutely love my new snow blower. I hope this helps.
