If you look at the other Questions/Answers, you will see that the basic plan is $6/mo. for 1 GB of service. If you only used the service for email, the service would be worthwhile. Searching websites would add to this, but as long as you are not crazy about it (every day, 8 hours a day), you should also be fine. However, if you start watching videos (ads are frequently delivered this way, or reviews) you could find yourself spending more and more. Netflix would definitely be prohibitive: it uses 1GB per hour for Standard Definition (SD), 3GB/hr. for High Definition (HD). So one two hour movie would cost you $12 in SD, $36 in HD. There are other plans (3 mo./$27, unlimited/$50 or $99, so this is just an estimate. You should decide what you can live with in terms of spending and what you can want or need. Also, be aware that, as noted in at least one review, cell carriers frequently have “fair use policies” that throttle down your speed when you exceed a certain amount of usage in a month, or when you are using the service at certain busy times. This might make for a very frustrating TV watching experience, or determining what times/days of the week you can relax and watch TV/movies. I would contact the Skyroam company for more details if Netflix is high on your desirable list.
