Hi, Thank you for your question! The LS15T subwoofer does not need to be buried in the ground. It can be placed directly on top of soil, concrete, or other flat surfaces. In fact, some installations creatively hide the subwoofer inside a large flower pot or planter on a deck—offering great performance while blending into the space. I hope this information is helpful!
