Hi, Thank you for your question. The Sonance MAG5.1R in-ceiling speakers are passive speakers, which means they require an amplifier or AV receiver to power them. They cannot be connected directly to a sound bar, since sound bars don’t provide speaker-level amplification. I hope you found this information helpful.
