It uses the power from the amp when you run the 14/4 wire

The subwoofer is passive and is powered directly by the Sonos Amp. The Sonos Amp sends both power and signal through the speaker wire, so no additional plug or outlet is needed for the subwoofer itself. I hope this information is helpful!
