We do not recommend adding additional speakers to the same Sonos Amp because the MAG6.1 system is specifically configured for the six included satellite speakers and subwoofer. Adding additional speakers would change the impedance load presented to the amplifier, which could affect performance or potentially damage the equipment. For additional coverage, you could add a second MAG6.1 system, giving you more placement flexibility and the option to create a separate outdoor audio zone. For a larger, more expandable solution, consider the Sonance Garden Series 8.1 system with the included DSP 2-150 MKIII amplifier (Best Buy SKU #6583411). This system can be expanded to support up to 16 satellite speakers and two subwoofers from a single amplifier, providing excellent flexibility for larger outdoor spaces.
