“Is this self powered and does it require being plugged into an outlet? Can somebody confirm the the wiring on the Sub itself (can't see from the manual how it's powered) Thanks”

Amp has to be plugged into a outlet. I have never seen any system that didn’t require power. Sub is a four wire hook up from what I can remember . Two for right Channel two for left channel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Sonos amp needs to be plugged in. Then a speaker wire (2 sets left and right). Go to the speakers and the sub. The sub runs off both sets of speaker wires only. 110 power is only to Sonos amp.
