Garage yes, patio...that is iffy. They're not technically outdoor speakers, but I would feel confident if this was installed in an outdoor ceiling (screened porch or sun room) where they would be protected 100% from precipitation. If it's just under an eave, then no way.

The MAG6R speakers are designed to be used in spaces (indoors) that protect the speaker from excessive heat, cold, water, moisture, etc. I would not install them in a space that is open to the outside elements.
