Hi, Thank you for your question. For the Sonance MAG6R in-ceiling speakers, we recommend using 2-conductor, CL2 or CL3-rated in-wall speaker wire. The ideal wire gauge depends on the length of the speaker run: • 16 AWG – Runs up to approximately 100 feet • 14 AWG – Runs from 100–200 feet • 12 AWG – Runs over 200 feet or for installations where you want to minimize signal loss Using oxygen-free copper (OFC) speaker wire is also recommended for the best long-term performance and reliability. If these speakers will be installed in an air-handling (plenum) space, be sure to use plenum-rated (CMP) speaker wire if required by your local building code.
