Do you need a receiver also or just the amp? null

You only need the Amp, it is controllable from the Sonos app on iOS and Android. You can also connect external equipment such as displays(HDMI for ARC) turntables and media players as well. We use Spotify, Apple Music, Tune In, Pandora, Sound Cloud etc. Sonos also has their own radio stations pre canned into the application that are really good. Its a great system and sounds very good outside!
