“The "Features" section lists the following: 250W total power handling at 8 ohms Then below it says that "Peak power handling 80 watts" which is it? What can these speakers handle? I was told and was sold 2 bundles on the basis they handle 250W”

The Sonos amp can power up to 250W, however the speakers have roughly 80W peak handling each which is roughly 160W when combined. The handling on the Sonos is much greater because it can handle 2 pairs of speakers according to the manufacturer.
