“Can you pair 4 of these with the sub for a complete surround sound system? 2 by tv and two behind or is it better with a sound bar and then two behind/above couch?”

Only 2 surround speaker can be used with the soundbar along with 1-2 subs depending on the model . Each Sonos Era 300 has multiple speakers built in to deliver the best Dolby Atmos sound from the rear locations . After installing the 300’s make sure to tune the speakers with true play tuning . The sound will be incredible no matter where you sit .
