“I just purchased 2 SONOS FIVE speakers. I already have an ARC and sub in the living room for TV and music. Should the new FIVES be placed BEHIND the listener or in front by the TV for best sound experience? The room is rather large and open. tx”

Hi, and thank you very much for purchasing all of the Sonos you have, and for you question. If you're using the Sonos Fives as surround sound speakers, you'll want to put those behind where you sit to enjoy Tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently had an outdoor movie night with my family and used my new Five speakers (pair). I asked myself the same thing as to where I should position them. As a trial, I played music and blasted the music and I was then a Sonos believer. I used the Airplay feature to my laptop with the speakers and set them up in front and was truly impressed. These speakers [when paired] do not need a sub in my opinion! We enjoyed our movie that came with a quality sound!
