They don’t “try” to pair, you have to select it in the setup menu.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, and thank you for your question. You have a couple of different options! The Sonos Fives will not automatically try to pair as surrounds. You would have to do that in the settings under the room name of our soundbar press "add surrounds" and our app will walk you through the rest. If you just set them up as their own rooms, they will be just that; two separate rooms. Which sounds like the experience you're looking for! The last option would be to set them up in a stereo pair. So one of your Sonos Fives is a left speaker and the other is a right speaker in a stereo set up. However, with the speakers that far a part from each other, we would not recommend that.
