• You can connect it but I would not recommend it for use with your existing 5.1 system, I have the same system in my living room and use my Play 5 in another room.

• Yes it will work just fine. I also have the sound bar, subwoofer and 2 Play 1's. I use the Play 5 as a standalone speaker for our media room as it sounds that good. It can play differentmusic than your other speakers or be grouped to play the same music as your home theater. It can also be incorporated into your home theater system.
