Only one speaker in your setup needs to be wired to your router. That speaker will connect all the other speakers to your internet and one another. I have a playbase, sub, and 2 ones with Alexa. Only my playbase is connected, via ethernet cable (provided) , to the router and connected to my smart tv through optical cable (not provided).
