“Hi. I have the WH-1000XM2. When you use the optimize function, it works out the shape of your head. Does it remember that shape when you turn it off, or do you need to optimize when ever you turn them on again?”

The optimize feature runs once, then the setting is saved to the headset. I was able to connect the headset to something besides my phone, and the settings sounded the same. I have owned my headset for almost two weeks and I only ever had to optimize once.
