A:AnswerClosed just means that the ear cups are closed to ambient, it doesn't mean they are sound proof to ambient. It makes it much harder for people to hear what you are listening to vs open back headphones, but it doesn't mean it makes it sound proof to other people. I don't think I've heard of any headphones that have no sound leakage, it seems like you would have to defy physics to get that. Maybe some of those bone conductor headphones might work for you? I'd imagine you couldn't get the same sound quality out of those though. Good luck!
A:AnswerUsing iOS 11, I have no issues with the app. Works fine and finds the headphones every time.
Connectivity is good, can walk several feet from the phone and still works.
iOS Audio:
Audio is as good as it will get on iOS because the headphones support the AAC codec that's native on iOS, so it means the phone can send audio as it receives it or has it store natively without transcoding to the headset.
Android Audio:
It also supports Apt-X and Apt-X HD for some Android phones that supports the licensed codec. that's the best it will get on Android (Usually higher phones, because Apt-X is not free).
And if you have an Xperia phone or a Sony HD Audio receiver, it supports LDAC, which I also tested and works (Some Oreo phones might optionally support it as well), which supports HD Audio streams.
For other devices, SBC at 345 kbit/s works fine on these headphones, which any other generic bluetooth device supports.
Controls:
All the controls on the headset work on both iOS and Android, no difference.
It also supports NFC pairing and remembers multiple devices.

A:AnswerI have noticed they do bleed some noise when cranked up in volume, but due to them being noise-cancelling, I do not think that you would need to turn up the volume super loud. At lower volumes, people do not seem to notice the noise.
A:Answer> I have used the phone charger for my android and it works fine
> I don’t think there is a problem
USB 2.0 port output = 0.5A
Android phone charger output could be up to 2.4A
It's not very good for the battery in case if headphones doesn't have controller inside.
That is why I am asking what is the best amperage for charging if I do not have PC with USB port near me.
A:AnswerHi RickRys, yes, these headphones work great for watching movies, video games, and music. You may check this link to see how great these headphones are: https://www.sony.com/electronics/headband-headphones/wh-1000xm2 Thanks, -Mark
A:AnswerI think that they are pretty darn good at cancelling out voices. I wear them in bed when I am reading and my wife is watching TV with the sound fairly loud (cop shows) and I can barely hear it. I would have to concentrate pretty intensely if I wanted tomake out what the TV characters were saying.
A:AnswerYes, I was able to try these out in the store. However, I did not truly appreciate them until I used them on a plane where hey made a tremendous difference.
A:AnswerI think your case is unique. I haven't heard about noise cancelling causing pain. I have both the Sony and Bose and all I can say is that they are similar, but with the Sony you can adjust the level of NC so that it has less effect in their App. By default, the Sony has a bit of a hiss. It's worth a shot.
A:AnswerHi Alohaman, Greetings! Aside from the weight difference, the WH-1000XM3 uses a Type-C USB cable. Please check the comparison chart below.

A:AnswerI actually had two pair of XM2s because the first pair did this right out of the box... I exchanged them for a new pair and never had a problem... idk what the issue was... I tried several cords plus charging from the wall and a device but nothing worked...
