Turn the cutoff frequency all the way up on your sub woofer. It also depends on the sound quality of whatever your watching. Blu rays, and dvds will produce more bass, versus streaming.

The option can be accessed by pressing the buttons above the remote's arrow keys. As far as your subwoofer is concerned, our receivers do not have such feature/setting. We recommend checking with the manufacturer of your sub if it has an auto-standby feature or anything of that nature. Regards, -Mark
