“I have a Samsung 58 inch smart tv. I can watch Netflix/amazon prime videos on the tv. Can I connect the tv so that I can watch programming on those channels with this receiver? I know how to connect my Direct TV receiver and Blue ray.”

I was having a problem myself with streaming and no sound. Solved the problem by going into the speaker setting on the TV and selecting External speakers. To answer your question; YES!!
