“I have a Dish HOPPER DVR that supports bluetooth headphones. Will this receiver receive the HOPPER bluetooth signal so I don't have to physically wire to TV or DVR?”

I I'm not sure about the Hopper Bluetooth but this receiver is Bluetooth anf it is super easy to setup and use.

It should work fine. This receiver supports bluetooth input. I wouldn't expect the full 7.1 surround sound through this method. It will likely transfer as stereo sound and you can use the receiver to imitate surround sound.
