A:AnswerHello bob, thank you for your message. To connect a turntable to a stereo system, the stereo system should have a PHONO input. If a PHONO input is not available, the turntable must have a built-in amplifier or an in-line amplifier must be used to connect the turntable to another input on the stereo system. Specs for the Home Theater Receiver, check the next link: https://docs.sony.com/release//SPECS/STRDH770_mksp.pdf. -Oscar.
A:AnswerIt will pass-through HDR10, but Sony wants you to spend a fortune on a more expensive model just to get Dolby Vision (a simple firmware update would do it, but they'd rather have you spend more money). The proof is that my bluray player has a second HDMI for audio, allowing me to route the video directly to the TV and preserve the Dolby Vision. This receiver actually refuses to play audio from the bluray player if the TV isn't set to the receiver's HDMI input. It won't let you listen to an input you aren't watching on the TV. The fix is to disconnect the receiver's HDMI output cable and use the TV's inputs for switching. I use the TOSLINK output from the TV to get older Dolby Digital from the TV and streaming services (which are compressed anyway) and have to manually switch the receiver to the bluray's HDMI input when we watch a bluray disk, giving the full uncompressed sound options available on the bluray. This isn't ideal and you end up needing multiple remotes (or a smart remote) to control everything since you give up the HDMI control ... this means turning on the receiver manually, etc. So ... its possible, but it goes out of the way to make it harder to accomplish.
A:AnswerHit the amp menu button on remote, you'll see the display change, then hit either the "up" or "down" until you see EQ displayed. Then hit the main enter/ok button and I think bass comes right up, then hit enter again, and up and down will change bass level up to +10. same for treble(which you'll get to after by scrolling past bass). When doing the easy set up/ auto calibration, turn the volume knob on your subwoofer to just under half way, per manual, it will adjust better later, I recalibrated mine, as my woofer had been close to max during initial calibration. If your subwoofer is pretty new and has a standby mode or something, there is an additional step or two you can find in manual, for better calibration.
A:AnswerHi SlimTim,
No. Dolby atmos is not supported by this receiver.

A:AnswerHi Radd, if you use Deep Color (Deep Colour) (10 bit or 12 bit) of these video formats, we recommend you to use Premium High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet, which can support bandwidth up to 18 Gbps, and be sure to set the HDMI signal format to [ENHANCED] in the [<HDMI>] menu. For details, please visit the link below. Thanks! ^Ron

A:AnswerYes it will work but the receiver only puts out 145 watts per speaker through 7 channels so I would recommend it because it doesn't have sufficient power to push your speakers to a level where you could appreciate their full potential. You should look for a 2 channel power amp rated in the 350 to 500 range to get the most out of your speakers. It is an excellent receiver for an home theater system which is what I use it for.
