Hi Roberto, An equalizer needs to be connected to the tape monitor loop on an AV receiver in order to operate. The current line of Sony receivers does not have a tape monitor loop. For this reason, it is not possible to connect an add-on equalizer to current Sony AV receivers. NOTES: Most Sony receivers feature a built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Equalizer. The addition of an equalizer is not needed and would provide no additional benefit to the overall sound output of the receiver. -Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think you can directly hook up an eq as in the old days. Back then, the power amp and receiver were separate units which made it possible to connect an eq in between. However, if you download the Sony Music Center App to your phone, you can not only control the receiver but also apply basic eq to each speaker individually. This was a great help to my surround speakers.
