• The way I understand AFD, is that it automatically decodes the signal in the way it was originally encoded. You would have to select a differenf sound field for it to stay the same. I leave mine in AFD so as to reproduce the sound the way it was meant to be heard

• Change the sound setting on your tv from standard mode to cinema mode. Then the TV will send the AFD signal to the reciever when you change the app or input. I had he same problem with my Sony strdn1080 receive and Bravia xbr 850E tv
