You will need a TV or a monitor that supports an HDMI or RCA video cable connection to access the settings and calibrate the speakers connected to the receiver. • The TV, In my experience. The Sony home screen is user friendly. Set up feature allows user to calibrate speakers with a microphone. There are tutorials on internet. What a great receiver, Sony STR-DN1080
