You can in fact run this in A, B, or A & B setup but it requires a tricky configuration using the Rear Back/Height speakers and assigning them appropriately in the Speaker Setup Menu that is NOT documented clearly. Took me a bunch of tries and an update to the firmware to get it figured out. It also means you CANNOT use your Zone 2 when configured this way. the multiple-speaker setup works for me in my use case, but would not work if I had a 7.1Ch surround setup.
