“Have 1 pair of ceiling spkrs ( 8 Ohm) in each of 5 rooms. Zone 1 for TV room and zone 2 for other 4 spkr pairs. Can 1080 run all the 5 pairs of spkrs at one time w same media? Also, can sound bar be used with ceiling spkrs in Zone 1 for Atmos effect?”

Hi Brucie, Thank you for the interest! You cannot connect a soundbar to this AV receiver. The ZONE 2 component output jacks on the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver will output analog video signals only. To output a signal from the ZONE 2 jacks, the source device must be connected to one of the composite or component inputs on the A/V receiver. NOTE: You cannot watch video in Zone 2. Sound is not available from devices connected to the HDMI IN jacks. Signals from the HDMI IN, OPTICAL IN and COAXIAL IN jacks cannot be output to the speakers in Zone 2.
