Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are streaming, are you able to confirm that you are receiving an HD signal? The audio can really be degraded in a stream if it is not HD. Second, I don't know what your ceilings are like but mine are vaulted in the living room so the vertical sound does not sound that great. That technology most likely depends on the acoustics in the room to be just right in order for the surround features to sound good. In my case, it does not work that well unless I play classical music. It seems to be the only thing where vertical sound truly works with my ceilings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI ARC and optical do NOT support Atmos, DTS-X or any other high res sound codecs. All you can get out of an HDMI ARC connection is regular old Dolby Digital and DTS. Plus streaming content is always compressed, which makes it even muddier. Sorry, that just a function of the current technology. This soundbar also suffers from having only two speakers in the soundbar, while many other soundbars in this price range have multiple speakers to provide fuller sound.
