“Does this lens do well when photographing landscapes from a distance? How is the zoom quality?”

• Hi NS, the SEL35F18 lens is a wide angle lens good for landscape. However this is a prime lens and it is not capable to zoom. It is a fixed focal length lens. Best regards, Zander

• there is no "zoom" on this lens. It's a prime lens. It does one job and does it exceptionally well, especially in low light condition. On the other hand, other general purpose lens "zoom lens" such as 16mm-50mm or 55-210mm, can take close up or telephoto picture. They are good "general" purpose but not excel in low light performance.
