I'd say this lens is probably the best portrait lens for the price. Unless you have the budget to buy a Zeiss or Gmaster lens. Most average user use this or the 35mm f/1.8 I've used the 55-210mm lens for portraits as well and had good results.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This would be it! The autofocus is lightening fast and can track fast moving objects and you still get fantastic bokeh. Coupled with the kit lens you should be all set!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This a nice, sharp lens, good in low light. I take a lot of family shots inside of my house with it. For the money and quality, this is a good next step up from the kit lenses.
