• The TV has an audio output chooser that will allow you to choose internal speakers or external source. I use optical and connect to a soundbar, but sometimes I will use Bluetooth headphones. Everything else is setup as normal, HDMI, no RCA. Hope this is what you are asking.

• Yes if the Onkyo has a Composite Input; the red and white for Right & Left audio, the yellow for the video feed.
