Hi Nutcase, yes, you may watch content in 4K HDR on this TV using only its streaming services (shows should be in 4K HDR). The resolution quality may be different depending on the 4K HDR playback capability of the external device. We recommend the UBP-X800 player if you wish to get a 4K player to go with this TV. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most of the 4k content we watch is Netflix and Youtube accessed through the TV. Make sure you have good internet speed for that content. I hardwired our internet connection to the TV through the ethernet port for more consistent speed than wifi, but a good wifi will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can and it looks fine. However, physical media (UHD discs with a UHD player in this case) ALWAYS look a lot better than just streaming UHD on Netflix or Amazon Prime Streaming.
