• the sound bar will fit, but it obscures the remote sensor. Positioned behind the tv, the sound bar remote is obscured. it is far from ideal and i would not recommend it to others.

• I would forego the soundbar idea and go with a sound base. The XBR-55X900E's stand is 10.5"D x 20"W, the weight about 38lbs.; so finding a quality sound base shouldn't be difficult. The Sonos Soundbase $700.00 is too pricey, check out the ZVOX 570 for less than half that at $300.00.
