“Is the upscaling of standard and HD signals on out of the box? Or do we have to go to settings to turn it on?”

• I had to go into the settings and turn it on for each HDMI port. Was easy and I did all of my ports so I won't have to remember to do it later on when I populate those ports later down the road.

This is done automatically. No need to adjust settings per content unless you prefer a customized setting that suits your needs. Regards, David
