“I switched the antenna I had on my old tv to this one, scanned for channels and come up with 0. What am I doing wrong? Is there a certain way to hook up your HD antenna to this tv?”

Hi Rikraq, We're sorry to hear this issue. The signal type setting on the TV can be configured before performing an auto program so that it can search for channels properly when an antenna is connected to the TV. I took the amplifier off of the antenna and that worked for some reason.
