Thanks for the response, but I wanted to know if it could be wired directly into the unit without having to purchase additional adapters/modules, etc...it's for a 2016 Subaru Forester.

I’m currently using the PAC steering wheel control adapter with my Sony AX-AV3000 in a 2011 Toyota Tundra Crewmax right now with no problems. Not sure what vehicle you have, but I would check to see if the PAC SWI-X adapter is compatible.
