Yes, you can. It says it in the manual AUDIO/HEADPHONE OUTPUT(S) 1 (Side/Hybrid with Headphone and Subwoofer Out). You choose what is connected to the headphone jack. Choose subwoofer in the menu, the there's an independent control for that output which adjusts the subwoofer level. You need stereo 1/8 plug to rca to connect your powered subwoofer. This method uses the TV's speakers for full range and the headphone to feed a powered subwoofer
