• Absolutely you can. All of the mirroring and app running would go through the AppleTV. The TV would just be acting as a monitor at that point.

• Hi, Rascal! Yes, you can connect your Apple TV device to one of the HDMI input of the Sony TV. And yes, once you've completed the setup, you should be able to use mirroring or airplay. -Sam
