Hi Joe, Yes, you can connect your LG 5.1 surround sound system to the BRAVIA 7 as long as it has an HDMI ARC or optical connection. However, while the TV speakers can work as a center channel with a compatible Sony sound system (using Acoustic Center Sync), you cannot use the TV's built-in speakers in combination with your LG system.
